10 Cleaning Tips From The #HinchArmy

If you use instagram, you will not have been able to ignore the number of posts apprearing from the #Hincharmy. Instagrammer ‘Sophie Hinchcliffe’ aka ‘Mrs Hinch’, set up her instagram profile, @MrsHinchsHome to share her daily cleaning routines and since then, her success has exploded!

Mrs Hinch now boasts of 1.5m followers also known as the #Hincharmy and the products she recommends have been selling out all over the UK!

I’m now sharing 10 of the best cleaning tips Ive picked up from Mrs Hinch and the #Hincharmy.

Keep Your Bin Smelling Clean

One of the products that the #Hincharmy is crazy about is Zoflora  (which is a disinfectant liquid) and I have to admit that I have now bought a few bottles myself!

To keep your bin sparkly clean, use a spray bottle filled with zoflora as a disinfectant spray to clean all over it. To then keep your bin smelling nice, soak a piece of kitchen towel (again in Zoflora) and leave at the bottom of the bin before inserting a bin bag.

Zoflora comes in a number of different scents and is available at most supermarkets and budget stores (if it hasn’t already sold out!)

Dont go to bed without a deep clean of your sink

Mrs Hinch and her #Hincharmy admit that they cant go to bed without a deep clean of their sink. To do this, they recommend pouring soda crystals around the plug before rinsing with zoflora and finishing with boiling water.

An alternative ‘clean sink’ tip I picked up from the #Hinch Army is to put a dishwasher tablet in your plug and rinse with boiling water, this has a similar effect to the soda crystals and I have to say, it does leave your sink pretty clean and shiny!

Clean Doors?

Wait for it…. use fabric softener mixed with water! This really works and removes any marks and stains easily. If only I’d know this sooner!

Keep your hob clean and stain free

Another must-have product from the #Hincharmy is ‘The Pink Stuff’ which is a thick cleaning paste. Use this with a wet cloth to clean your hob and then rinse with a wet cloth to remove.

Get Rid Of Mattress Stains

Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda onto the stain and rub with a damp cloth. Vacuum away after an hour and voila – clean mattress!

Clean Shower Doors

For this, you will need one of the most sought after products, Mrs Hinchs beloved ‘Minkeh’, an antibacterial cleaning pad. This has totally sold out on several occasions due to its huge popularity and great reviews. Use this to rub down and wipe clean and leave your shower doors sparkling.

Streak Free Mirrors

Use an ‘old fashioned’ favourite,  of white vingar and a fluffy microfibre cloth to wipe away all smears with ease.

Clean Leather Sofa

Use ‘bargain’ leather wipes to clean and finish with a cloth soaked in Zoflora to keep the leather smelling nice.

Clean Fridge

Remove all shelves and fill the bottom tray with washing up liquid and zoflora. Use this to clean the inside of the fridge and use ‘The Pink Stuff’ to clean away and marks or stains.

Removing Food from floors

Use a degreaser and an electric toothbrush to remove any tough food stains before wiping away with a cloth.

The cleaning doors thing I’ve never heard of but will give a try for sure. My mum used to use zoflora permanently as we were growing up. How thrilled she’d be to think she was all trendy!!! #blogcrush
